To dial or not to dial premium rate numbers

This is the question that several people ask themselves every day. After all, the services have become so popular that nobody is surprised when more and more advertisements and commercials of premium rate numbers appear in magazines and on television. And unlike it was in the past, these are not just chats with hot ladies or lotteries. Nowadays, quite a large number call centres, customer service centres, or even charity organizations use this strategy. Why not earn some cash when people are calling you? Anyway, the question is: to dial or not to dial? Imagine you"ve decided to make your face well-known and act in a commercial. Let"s say you want to phone a call centre that specializes in recruiting people for commercials. You find the phone number in your local newspaper and want to call the centre to get more information. However, the number is suspiciously long, just like many premium rate numbers are, and it starts with a certain combination of digits that you associate with such services. What will you do? Well, look for small print information about real prices of the connection. If there"s no such information, don"t dial the number, unless you really need to. You don"t want to be shocked when you see your phone bill, do you?
